ACH transfers initiated through your account dashboard to or from an external account are subject to limits on the number of transfers (“Count Limits”) and limits on the dollar amount (“Threshold Dollar Limit”), with special rules that we call “Transfer Threshold Limits”. These limits are in place to protect you and your money.
Limits can vary for each Premier Savings account, and your individual limits depend on a number of factors, including your account eligibility and activity. The figures provided below are the available limit ranges across all Premier Savings accounts that would be assigned to your account at account opening:
Count Limits
- From External Account: You will be assigned a limit between 2-7 transfers within a 7-day period.
- To External Accounts: There are no count limits.
Threshold Dollar Limits
- From External Accounts: You will be assigned a limit between $2,000 to $15,000 within a 7-day period.
- To External Accounts: You will be assigned a limit between $2,000 to $15,000 within a 7-day period.
If you have a Premier Savings account, you can view your individual limits here.
If you deposit funds into your Premier Savings account in excess of your Threshold Dollar Limit, the excess funds become “Linked Funds” and are linked to the external source account. Linked Funds cannot be withdrawn to any other external account for the first 60 days after the transfer date. After 60 days, the Linked Funds will be available for withdrawal to other accounts, subject to applicable threshold limit restrictions on outgoing transfers.
Learn more about Linked Funds here. You can always transfer the money back to the external source account that they were deposited from during the 60 day hold period, up to the Net Lifetime Deposits.
The “Net Lifetime Deposits” applies to each external account you deposit funds from and is the aggregate/total of funds transferred from that external account to your Premier Savings account, less any funds that have already been transferred back. For example, if you are requesting to transfer $8,000 out to a specific external account where you have previously transferred a total of $5,000 from that account, only $3,000 would be subject to your Threshold Limit. The purpose of Net Lifetime Deposits is to ensure you can always transfer back the money from Premier Savings account to the external bank account that they were deposited from.
All Premier Savings accounts are subject to a daily maximum transfer of $100,000 to external bank accounts and $100,000 from external bank accounts.
